BMW rolls out the new design for the BMW i8spyder.

The Bmw i8 which featured in the movie Mission Impossible-Ghost

Protocol has been given a nod for production. The concept car that was

displayed in 2012 at Frankfurt Motorshow will now be a reality.BMW

company has officially released its design.

Exterior design

''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''

The new design will be a little different from the concept car.The

look is now more elegant but less sporty than its concept. However, the

bluish laser lights will still be a common feature which save on

battery power than the LED counterpart.

Interior Design

'''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''

The automobile is a hybrid car. It comes with a combination of both

electric and a 3-litre petrol engine. The combination makes it both

economical and environment friendly.

The electric motor

''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''

The electric part of the engine works by charging the battery while

the sports car is in motion.

The battery offers enough electric energy to run for around 20miles

thus reducing gas emission from the engine.

Petrol engine

''''''''''''''''''''''''''''

The petrol-engine offers a 230 horspower through the rear axle.Enough

power is thus enabled to propel the rear wheels at high speed. This

enables driving through long distances when the battery runs out and

is charging.

Production of the car is expected to begin in 2015.The concept coupe

developed earlier is also on sale but, cheaper.

Producing electricity from roads

A mexican scientist Marcias Hernandez has developed a system through which can help generate electricity using automobiles. The concept he developed is not new because other methods exists but is cheaper and less complicated. Other conventional methods have been using  pizoelectric effect to generate electrity. Energy is driven from the stress exerted by moving vehicles. The energy is then coverted into electricity and stored in batteries by the roadside. Marcias new invention involves the use of trumps, which moving vehicles exert pressure when running over a polymer ramp. Air is then forced at high pressure into a storage tank via hose pipes where it is stored and released. When it accumulates, it drives a turbine built underground. The turbine will then use this kinetic energy to be converted into electric energy by the generators. Israel has already constructed such a road system that is able to generate electricity.
