Understanding drones

Drones are the mention of today's world with some companies like

Amazon showing vested interest in cmmercialising the maachines. The

question is however, what is a drone and how did they come about?< > A

drone in the real worl is a male honey bee.In the tech world, a drone

is an unmanned aircraft commonly referred to as UAV(Unmanned Aerial

Vehicle). The construction of the drones started in 1960 after the

United States air forces intensfied efforts to prevent their pilots

from death during war. The first was created in 1964 and took part in

the Vietnamese war. However, drones had been created since 1935 by

Germans,French but were less remote controlled. < >Drones have been

used for surveillance by the USA and taken part in wars in Indian war

in 1972,currently in Afghanistan and Somalia. < >About 45 countries

use the drone nowadays but mostly for surveillance and research as of

2013.Advances in technology include less remote control. However their

commercialisation is under sharp criticism as legislation to the

matter is underway. Some civil groups think it could one day turn

tragic for the world if such machines should be left to hover

around.Something like the I-robot movie: ''robotic revolution against

the human race''.

Irobot and the law of robotics. Do human-like robots exist?

I-robot was at the premier of movies when it was released in the year 2004. It bewildered, many a fan, including myself of how the future technology would look like plus the existence of robots, running almost equal or parallel lives with human beings. Perhaps, one century into the future, a possibility of self-driven cars and more flexible robots is a reality. Taking into mind those memoirs, I became quite interested and fascinated about the three laws written by Prof. Alfred Lenning in the movie Irobot in which Will Smith, a detective tries to unearth the meaning  of robots and their existence as a threat or benefit to humanity . I wanted to find out how it relates to robotics and physics. I-robot 1. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. 2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. 3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection d...
