Amazing bycicles. The truth about folding bycicles

I have been stunned by how the world has developed in technology. The newest technology that is invented, always seems to amaze us. However, there is a thin line between old and new technology. Through my extensive research, I was able to find this irony of folding bycicles. As a child, I used to own a bycicle. It didn't ever occur to me that one day, I would come across a bycicle that could fold. The amazing fact is that these bycicles have been in production since the beginning of the 20th century. The Pedersen bycicle developed by Mikael Pedersen in Dursely, England, was the first folding bycicle to be created. Since then, folding bycicles have been used largely, for millitary purposes. For example, the Italians have used them since 1917 during the First World War while the British used them during the 1942-1945 world war II. It is thus, no surprise to those who think it is new technology, that the invention that is more than a century old is still being used. The bycicles come ...

Bike or car? Project 2 and 4

I was thinking about bike cars and a documentary about them from dw tv which highlighted the revolutionary bike cars. They are aimed at reducing emissions and single transit of an individual to shorter distances. I was surprised to come around the news about bike cars. In particular a racing Ferrari-like car that is both bike and a car. The Project 2&4 concept. It is also the winner of  Honda design competition involving engineers and designers from both motorcycle and automotive studios. The concept is powered by a 999cc v4 engine. It has an rpm of 14000 ( revolution per minute: a measure of the frequency of rotation which is the number of rotations around a fixed axis per minute  and is a measurement of rotational speed of a mechanical component) which when calculated with torque(how strong an automobile is) calculates to around 211bph (break horsepower :how fast work can be done using the power). The clutch is a 6 speed dual transmission.

The nissan iDx nismo and freeflow

Nissan has developed new concept cars the IDx Nismo and IDx Freeflow. However,  I was late in posting this article. The concept cars were showcased in 2013 at a motor show. The future production was scheduled between 2016 and 2018. Here are some pics of what is likely to be manufactured. The curves and edges make it sporty and similar to the Ford Mustang. Nissan IDx Freeflow  Pics from nissan usa The Nissan IDx Freeflow is a concept car introduced at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show by Nissan. It is inspired by the Datsun 510.Expected production is between 2016 and 2018. Irobot and the law of robotics. Do human-like robots exist?

I-robot was at the premier of movies when it was released in the year 2004. It bewildered, many a fan, including myself of how the future technology would look like plus the existence of robots, running almost equal or parallel lives with human beings. Perhaps, one century into the future, a possibility of self-driven cars and more flexible robots is a reality. Taking into mind those memoirs, I became quite interested and fascinated about the three laws written by Prof. Alfred Lenning in the movie Irobot in which Will Smith, a detective tries to unearth the meaning  of robots and their existence as a threat or benefit to humanity . I wanted to find out how it relates to robotics and physics. I-robot 1. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. 2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. 3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection d...
